Meet our new trainer!
We are excited to introduce the newest addition to the Dan Perata Training team, Trainer Brian Stanley!
Brian’s path to professional dog training began in an unexpected place after adopting Bean, a spirited 7-week-old rescue pup from the streets of San Francisco. Like many dog owners, Brian quickly realized that raising a well-behaved dog takes more than love alone. Bean’s challenges sparked a deep commitment to understanding canine behavior, puppy development, and the fundamentals of effective training.
Before entering the dog world, Brian spent years as a SCUBA Instructor and Freediving Instructor Trainer, building a strong foundation in teaching, communication, and trust. That same skillset now translates seamlessly into his work with dogs and their owners. Under the direct mentorship of Dan Perata, Brian refined his ability to transform even the most stubborn or unfocused dogs into calm, reliable companions.
Today, Brian is one of the lead trainers at Dan Perata Training, helping clients across San Francisco achieve what every dog owner wants: a confident, well-behaved dog they can trust off leash. His journey from first-time dog owner to Head Trainer is a testament to what is possible with the right guidance, consistency, and dedication.
